Why Learn Qur'anic Arabic?

Qur’an was revealed for the whole mankind to be read, pondered over, and applied to in our daily lives. While Qur’an is read/recited around the clock and around the world by millions of people, the lack of knowledge of the Qur’anic Arabic by many is preventing people in understanding its content and hence applying the message of the Qur’an in our daily lives. It is stated in the Qur’an:
“Indeed, We have sent it down as an Arabic Qur’an that you might understand.” (Quran, 12:2)
How to understand the Qur’an? We can either read translations by one of the many scholars or learn Qur’anic Arabic and understand the Qur’an ourselves without relying upon the translations.

What’s the difference? The translations vary between scholars and while the translations do provide the general meaning, they miss the true emphasis/intricacies of the meaning of certain words and phrase of the Qur’an – hence it is one the most important reasons to learn the Qur’anic Arabic language.

Qur’an is the most sacred book of Muslims. It is the source of knowledge for all aspects of our life including detailed information on science, and guidelines to create a just society and economic system. Hence, it is a true ‘instructional manual’ for all mankind which is meant to be read, pondered over, and applied to in our daily lives.
To understand the Qur’an, one needs to know the language it was revealed in.
